Landscaping Service in Atlanta, GA

Front yard landscaping with paver walkway, hydrangea beds and path lights in Atlanta GA

Most Atlanta Yards Have the Same Problem First

People call about plants. The plants are usually not the problem.
Water is. Red clay does not drain, our storms arrive fast, and most yards in this city move water in a direction nobody planned. So beds sit wet and roots rot. Sod thins out in the low spot and never recovers. The mulch washes into the driveway twice a year.
You can install a beautiful landscape on top of all that. It will look right for one season.
We start underneath instead: grade, drainage, then soil, then everything you can see. Costs a little more at the front and considerably less over ten years.

What Our Landscaping Service Covers

Grading and leveling

Reshaping the ground so water leaves the house instead of collecting against it. Everything else on this list depends on getting this right first.

Drainage correction

French drains, dry creek beds, catch basins and regrading, matched to where the water actually goes rather than where it seems to.

Sod and lawn installation

Bermuda, Zoysia or Fescue, chosen for how much sun the space genuinely gets. Soil prep before it goes down, because sod laid on compacted clay is money spent twice.

Planting and bed work

New beds, replanting, edging and shaping. Species picked for Atlanta shade, Atlanta heat and Atlanta clay, not for what photographs well at the garden center.

Mulch and pine straw

Applied at the right depth and refreshed on a schedule. Too thin and the weeds win; too thick and you smother the roots.

Irrigation systems

Sprinkler systems designed around what each zone actually needs, since a shaded bed and a full-sun lawn want very different amounts of water. Rain sensors, zone control and backflow prevention as the county requires it.

Outdoor lighting

Path, step, uplighting and tree lighting, wired in before the hardscape goes down rather than retrofitted around it. Low voltage, on a timer or controlled from your phone.

Tree removal and stump grinding

Taking down dead, leaning or badly placed trees, plus stump grinding and haul-off. Metro Atlanta sits under a lot of mature hardwood, and some of it is closer to the house than anyone would plant it today.

Excavation, clearing and demolition

Taking out the old patio, the dead hedge row, the retaining wall someone built without drainage.Sometimes the first real step is removal, and having our own machines means it is one crew rather than two.

Residential and Commercial Landscaping in Atlanta

Residential landscaping

Single properties, from one problem bed to a whole lot. Most of our residential landscaping in Atlanta starts with a homeowner who has looked at the same drainage issue for two years and finally wants it gone.

Commercial landscaping

Offices, retail frontage, HOA common areas and multi-family grounds. Different buyer, different schedule: work planned around your hours instead of ours, and one point of contact rather than a rotating account manager.

What "Affordable Landscaping Service" Actually Means

Search for affordable landscaping services near me and two kinds of company come back. The ones with a five-figure floor they never mention on the phone, and the ones who are cheap because they skip the parts you cannot see.
We are trying to be neither.
Affordable here means we will quote a two-thousand-dollar job and a twenty-thousand-dollar job with the same standard site visit, and we will tell you which parts of your wish list are worth doing now and which can wait a year. It does not mean thin base material, skipped soil prep or a crew that leaves at two o’clock.
If the budget will not cover the whole yard, we phase it. Drainage and grading first, because everything else sits on top of them.

Order of Operations, and Why It Saves You Money

The single most expensive mistake in Atlanta landscaping is doing things in the wrong sequence.
Sod goes down before the grading is settled, then gets torn up. Beds get planted where the irrigation line has to run. A patio is installed at an elevation that sends water into the new planting bed. None of this shows up in a quote. It shows up as a second invoice.
So we sequence: clearing, then grading, then drainage, then hardscape, then soil, then planting, then mulch. It is not glamorous and it is the whole difference between a landscape that holds and one that gets redone in year three.

Landscaping Questions

How much does landscaping cost in Atlanta?

Bed work and clean-ups start small. Grading and drainage correction depend entirely on how much ground is moving and where the water has to go. We price it after seeing the ground, since that is the only honest way to do it.
None. One drainage fix is a job, and so is a full property. Each gets a site visit and a written scope either way.
Installation only. We build lawns, beds, drainage and hardscape, then hand the property back. We do not mow, and we are happy to point you toward maintenance companies we have seen do good work.
It comes down to sun. Bermuda wants full sun and shrugs off a Georgia August. Zoysia takes part shade and handles foot traffic well. Fescue is the shade option, though it needs overseeding most falls. In deep shade under mature hardwood, artificial turf is often the better answer.
Fall and early spring are gentlest on new plantings. Grading, drainage and hardscape run all year. Summer installs work too, they just need more watering afterward.
Yes. Offices, retail, HOA common areas and multi-family grounds across metro Atlanta.
From Norcross we cover Gwinnett and North Fulton, along with DeKalb and East Cobb.
